David Gans and his band played for participants and staff at Ability Now as part of the Bread & Roses program. Bread & Roses Presents is a nonprofit arts organization with a human services mission that brings hope, healing and joy through live music and the performing arts to people who are disadvantaged, marginalized, or otherwise isolated in diverse institutional settings in the San Francisco Bay Area.
David Gans is the author of the book, This Is All a Dream We Dreamed: An Oral History of the Grateful Dead. He is a seasoned musician who has performed interpretations of songs by the Grateful Dead as well as his own material. He also hosts a weekly syndicated radio show The Grateful Dead Hour.
David Gans was the 3rd artist to perform at Ability Now as part of the Bread & Roses program. We are honored Bread & Roses has chosen Ability Now as part of its program to bring music to people who often times aren’t able to get out to see live music.
