Beth Suess
Finance & HR Director
Beth Suess started as a finance consultant with Ability Now Bay Area in 2017. Ability Now became more and more a part of her life and in 2019 she was finally convinced to become an actual employee. As Finance & HR Director she feels privileged to support the incredible people who provide services to our participants.
After escaping a lengthy detour into retail management and fleet services accounting, Beth discovered that she is happiest when putting her skills to work in helping people to help people who are most in need. She has spent the last few decades in executive, administrative, and financial positions in the community services and nonprofit sectors. She is passionate about providing the support and systems that enable organizations to offer essential services to a variety of populations.
Some past positions are: Co-Director of Super Cool Summer School with over 1,000 children and teens served per year and Finance & HR Manager of Marin Services for Women which offered residential drug rehabilitation for women. Her most cherished title is Co-founder of REC Inc. (Recreation, Education & Community) a nonprofit that has been providing social and recreation programs with a community recreation model for adults with developmental disabilities in Marin County since 2002.
