Harry Gibbs

Program Counselor

Before joining Ability Now Bay Area, Harry previously worked in a psychiatric hospital and with multiple organizations focusing on children with autism in Houston, New Orleans, and the Bay Area. He received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the HCBU Texas Southern University and intends to begin studying for a Master’s degree next year.

Harry has worked extensively with individuals living with disabilities and has developed an admitted “soft spot” for the work he does and for the unique individuals that he gets to work with. He is enthusiastic about the unique opportunity that working at Ability Now provides to learn so many varied life stories and the unique struggles of living with disabilities. He says, “These people, and their stories, inspire me daily to keep a positive outlook on life when I’m having a tough time.  Coming to Ability Now I wanted a change of setting and to expand my skillset from my years in ABA to be able better serve people with disabilities.”

Outside of work, Harry enjoys watching Football and Basketball and takes every advantage to explore and experience his new home in the Bay Area.
