This class helps participants become familiar with the history of anything they choose. They not only cover California history, but also world history.
Curriculum
- Participants take turns selecting the type of history they wish to study next such as music, art, disabilities, Ability Now Bay Area, the United States, fitness, California, different countries, etc.
- Participants are responsible for doing some of the research about their topic of choice through use of the internet, magazines, books, etc.
- Once they have completed their research, they present it to the class
- The class creates collages and other art projects related to the subject
- Videos, art projects, and demonstrations are used to supplement and reinforce the information presented in class
