This class will focus on helping participants learn about the world around them. They will study different animals and their environments, global changes, how nature is affected by the actions of humans and by natural events such as droughts, etc.
Participants will choose eco-systems to explore, including the climate it induces, the life forms that are sustained, and the study of topography. They will also study how these places are constantly changing as well as how humans can positively affect the environment.
Participants will be encouraged to bring articles that they would like to discuss in the class as well as class topics of interest. The class will be geared to encourage discussion and fostering the ability to answer comprehension questions about the class topic.
