This class focuses on helping participants learn about the world around them. They study different animals and their environments, global changes, and how nature is affected by the actions of humans and by natural events such as droughts, etc.
Participants choose ecosystems to explore, including the climate it induces, the life forms that are sustained, and the study of topography. They also study how these places are constantly changing as well as how humans can positively affect the environment.
Participants are encouraged to bring articles they would like to discuss into the class as well as class topics of interest. The class is geared to encourage discussion and foster the ability to answer comprehension questions about the class topic.
