The purpose of this class is to teach participants with little or no speech how to communicate with the use of computerized speech generating devices.
Curriculum
Uses participants’ devices to communicate:
- Answering questions
- Holding a conversation
- Pointing or learning how to use the device appropriately
- Constructing sentences using symbols or typing words
- Learning to use other forms of communication like communication boards or books when devices are not working
